"Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not
acquired by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment."
                                            - Dr. Maria Montessori

The foundation of the Montessori experience is
in the important early formative years. Beginning with
practical and social skills, children learn to keep track of their
belongings, to put things away, to share materials. Academics are
introduced through concrete, manipulative materials which utilize all
five senses and lay the groundwork for abstract thinking.

Lessons are given to children individually, in small groups and to the
class as a whole throughout the morning. Children are free to explore
the environment and they may work independently or with other children
as their interest leads them or as they are directed.

The Gan Montessori strives to provide a structured educational
environment where children are carefully nurtured so that they are
able to develop to their fullest potential.
